- After the special intensive revision, officials reported the Election Commission of India published draft electoral rolls on Tuesday deleting 44,787 voters, cutting Bhabanipur electorate to about 1.61 lakh from around 2.06 lakh.
- The Trinamool Congress asked local units to run neighbourhood 'May I Help You' camps and set up help desks for documentation and form-filling, while volunteers will visit homes to assist with claims and objections hearings expected shortly.
- Senior party leaders said wards 70, 72 and 77 with unusually high deletions will get special attention as the party fears affected voters in Bhabanipur were wrongly excluded.
- The deletions across south Kolkata mean four assembly segments recorded over 2.16 lakh deletions, adding to tensions as West Bengal moves toward the 2026 assembly polls.
