Windtech International - East Anglia Three offshore converter station foundation installed in North Sea
The steel structure that will support ScottishPower Renewables’ high-voltage direct current (HVDC) offshore converter station has been installed in the southern North Sea. The four-legged jacket foundation, weighing about 3,700 tonnes and standing 59 metres high, is now fixed to the seabed 69 kilometres off the Suffolk coast at a water depth of 36 metres.
