Driver dies after rear-ending CTA bus

A driver died after rear-ending a CTA bus on the Lower West Side at around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Chicago police said. The bus, carrying five passengers, was stopped at a red light near the 2300 block of South Blue Island Avenue when a 32-year-old man hit the back of the bus with his silver SUV, according to police. The driver of the SUV was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There were no other reported injuries, police said.
