312-Acre Transfer Gives First Nation Critical Land Base on Vancouver Island

The transfer of a 312-hectare property to the Lyackson First Nation and Cowichan Tribes has been completed, valued at approximately $8.6 million.

Lyackson will develop its first official community plan for a village, as they seek to add the land to their reserves through the Federal Addition to Reserve process.
