Longueuil to lower speed limit on all residential streets, take new approach to safety

Longueuil Mayor Catherine Fournier announced the city is reducing the speed limit on all residential streets to 30 km/h, and putting in place new traffic calming measures across the city.

This is one of the City's measures to secure streets and avenues, with the systematic sector approach and the construction of a hundred donkey backs.

Longueuil will reduce the speed limit on its local streets as of January 1st, following in the footsteps of Montreal and Quebec City, which have already begun this turn in the name of pedestrian and cycling safety.
