$2M grant supports adolescent behavioral healthcare

The project will add five pediatric beds and raise Hawaii’s adolescent behavioral health capacity by 17%, officials said.

KEALAKEKUA — A $2,088,560 grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has been given to the West Hawaii Region Hospital Foundation to establish an adolescent inpatient behavioral health unit at Kona Community Hospital.
