Rasht - The Gilan Police Commander announced the discovery of 216 unauthorized digital currency mining devices worth more than 29 billion Tomans and the arrest of 49 people in the province since the beginning of 1405.
The CEO of the Hamedan Provincial Electricity Distribution Company said: "As part of the Mahtab project, more than 15,000 defective meters were replaced and 4,000 unauthorized branches were collected or converted into authorized branches. Since the beginning of this year, 110 mining devices have been discovered and seized in the province."
The spokesperson for the Qazvin province's electricity industry announced the discovery and seizure of 10 unauthorized cryptocurrency mining devices in the past week and announced that a legal case has been filed against the violators.
Referring to the measures taken to discover and collect cryptocurrencies, the CEO of the Hamedan Provincial Electricity Distribution Company said: "Since the beginning of this year, 110 mining devices have been discovered and seized in cooperation with supervisory agencies in the province."
