- On Wednesday, Mercedes-Benz Australia introduced the pure-electric GLC400 4Matic and performance-focused AMG GLC53 4Matic+, with the GLC400 priced at $112,200 before on-road costs and arriving in local showrooms from October 2026.
- Underpinned by a dedicated electric vehicle platform, the GLC400 features a 94.4kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery delivering 630km of WLTP range, with Mercedes-Benz claiming 300 kilometres of range can be added "within 10 minutes" at fast-charging stations.
- With a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine and 48V mild-hybrid system, the AMG GLC53 4Matic+ produces 330kW and 600Nm, achieving 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds and starting from $140,600 before on-road costs.
