Budget cuts, layoffs in scientific agencies, forbidden words and a decline in freedom of expression: Trump's first year of second term has not been a rest. If we add to this the increase in disinformation of social networks, these troubled times undermine the confidence of a part of the public towards the scientific community, and undermine international scientific collaborations.
