2-Year-Old Girl Missing Out of Cumberland, Community Asked to Aid in the Search
Authorities issued a CODI alert for Bridget Maeve Zeigler, 2, after she was last seen on foot and a credible threat to her safety was reported.
- On Thursday at 6 p.m., 2-year-old Bridget Maeve Zeigler went missing on Hidden Valley Road in Cumberland County, Virginia. Virginia State Police issued a CODI Alert for the child, believed to be on foot.
- Zeigler stands approximately 2 feet tall, weighs 30 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange dress, blue coat, and white sneakers; authorities determined the disappearance poses a credible threat to her safety.
- Local and state authorities are searching for Zeigler, asking residents in Cumberland County to check property and camera footage for sightings. Cumberland County Public Schools also issued an alert encouraging community members to contact authorities with information.
- Anyone with information regarding Zeigler's whereabouts is directed to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 804-492-4120. If the child is seen, officials said to call 911.
- Virginia State Police issued the CODI Alert at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday on behalf of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, mobilizing emergency search efforts across the region.
