At around 6:15 a.m. on the 2nd, a 19-year-old male Marine from Camp Hansen, who was riding an electric scooter on a sidewalk along a port road in Tsuji 2-chome, Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, struck a plant on the sidewalk and fell. The man suffered a strong blow to the back of his head and was taken to a hospital in the southern part of the main island in an unconscious state.
