An 18-year-old Viennese man died in an alpine accident in the municipality of Eisenerz on Saturday afternoon. The boy had previously successfully climbed the "Erzherzog-Johann-Klettersteig" with two friends. The trio then descended towards Lake Leopoldstein via the marked and partially secured descent path. During a steep traverse, the 18-year-old apparently slipped on the gravel and fell approximately 200 meters into a rocky gully.

A tragic leisure accident occurred on Saturday in the district of Leoben. At Eisenerz, an 18-year-old man from Vienna crashed in a via ferrata in front of two friends and was fatally injured.
