Teen dies after drowning in Petal neighborhood lake

PETAL – A teen died Sunday night after drowning in a small neighborhood lake in Petal, according to WDAM. Petal Fire Chief Marion Sims told WDAM that a group was swimming in the lake near the 100 block of Garden Lane and jumping from a rope swing. According to Sims, one of the teens went into the water and did not resurface.
