17-Year-Old Girl Accused Innocent Man of Rape — This Is the Sentence She Received

The District Court of Southwest Finland convicted the young woman of false information. In late autumn 2022, a Finnish man was surprised when the police contacted him and told him that he was suspected of rape. The man had no idea who might be behind the announcement. Later, police showed him a photograph of him sitting on a bus. The man had not noticed the photographing and did not remember having a conversation with anyone during the trip.
