14th Annual Cat Walk Brings Bobcat Pride To Downtown Bozeman
The 14th annual parade brought students, athletes and university leaders downtown to meet fans and support local businesses.
On Friday, Montana State University hosted the 14th annual Community Cat Walk, bringing students, athletes, university leaders, and community members through downtown Bozeman to celebrate Bobcat spirit.
The MSU Cat Walk began 14 years ago as a small procession featuring the band, team members, and the President, expanding over time to include broad community participation.
Starting around 11 a.m. near First Interstate Bank at Main Street and Grand Avenue, the route included a 20-minute stop at Soroptimist Park for autographs before finishing near The Baxter.
Downtown Bozeman Association program director Cache Maples noted the event strengthens ties with local businesses, nine of which have participated since the beginning, including The Cannery Lounge.
With students returning to campus next week and the school year beginning shortly, local business owners in the Gallatin Valley hope the event fosters continued community spirit.
