Ghaziabad Fraud Case: Eighteen people are accused of taking a gold loan of ₹1.46 crore by mortgaging fake gold at a Federal Bank branch. A case was registered at the Kavi Nagar police station after the bank's investigation revealed the jewelry to be fake.
A major fraud has come to light in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. A loan worth crores of rupees was taken from Federal Bank using fake gold as collateral. Now that this has been revealed, the police have been informed.
Eighteen people took a loan of ₹1.46 crore by pledging fake gold at the Federal Bank branch in Ghaziabad's RDAC. When the bank audited their gold loan accounts, the pledged jewellery was found to be fake. Following this, bank manager Shazia Bano filed a complaint at the Kavinagar police station.
