- Tensions have escalated in recent months amid mutual accusations, as Pakistan maintains that terrorists linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan operate from Afghan territory, while the Afghan Taliban regime denies these allegations and accuses Pakistan of violating sovereignty.
- In Mohmand, eight militants were neutralised, and five were killed in North Waziristan following intense fire exchanges; sanitisation operations continue to eliminate any other "Indian-sponsored" Kharji found in border areas.
- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for demonstrating "professional capabilities" in defending the country, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated the forces "crushed the nefarious designs of the enemy."
- The counter-terrorism campaign, Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, continues under the vision "Azm-e-Istehkam," with the government stating the relentless operation will proceed "until its objectives are achieved" to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism.
