Cyberpunk 2077 Is Leaving Xbox Game Pass This Month
Microsoft says 10 games will leave Game Pass on Sept. 15, including CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 after a six-month run.
Starting Sept. 8, Xbox Game Pass welcomes Black Ops Cold War alongside Shelldiver, Speedrunners 2, The Royal Writ, Virtua Fighter 5, World Stage, RuneScape, and Dragonwilds this month.
Ten games will leave Xbox Game Pass on Sept. 15, with Cyberpunk being the marquee departure. The sci-fi RPG from Projekt Red departs after only six months on the platform.
The roguelike Metroidvania Dead Cells is another significant departure, while Spiritfarer, a deeply emotional indie about ferrying the recently deceased to the afterlife, offers players limited time to experience it before removal.
Fans of Dead Cells should note developer Evil Empire releases Castlevania: Belmont's Curse on Oct. 15, while the second season of the acclaimed Edgerunners anime premieres Oct. 20 exclusively on Netflix.
The service turnover includes Commandos, Origins, Frostpunk 2, and others, continuing the rotating library model that defines Xbox Game Pass. Constant title influx and removal remain central to the platform's strategy.
We've learned about Game Pass's offerings for the first half of September 2026. Microsoft will offer subscribers access to 6 games and take away 10, including Cyberpunk 2077. The news, "Game Pass is losing two Polish hits, including Cyberpunk 2077. The beginning of September 2026 will be really bad," was published by GRYOnline.pl on September 1, 2026.
