The Oost-Limburg Hospital in Genk started a major vaccination campaign against RSV among young children today. The virus causes serious respiratory infections among the little ones. A preventive shot significantly reduces the risk of hospitalization. The ZOL will immunize around 1000 children over the next 2 weeks. The other hospitals in Limburg are also vaccinating against RSV.
