The work at Riverside Park was delayed due to high shipping and materials costs. There will be a 12-week wait before the swings are delivered, and Newkirk said an installation time will have to be scheduled.

Scottville · ScottvilleMickeal Henry Patten, 72, of Scottville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. He was the son of the late George and Dollie May (Radford) Patten. Mickeal was an avid outdoorsman, fishing on the lakes and rivers, as well as hunting. He also enjoyed reading, and socializing at his favorite tavern, Charlies.

Scottville · ScottvilleT.J. Shimunek is hoping to erect up to 40 small homes on 22 acres of Amber Township land. He wants the township, the city and the county to strike a 425 agreement for the land, which would essentially transfer it into Scottville's jurisdiction. Township Supervisor James Gallie said discussion is being put on hold for now.
