London, England · LondonThe General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the UK regulator of osteopaths, has successfully prosecuted Gareth Milner, who practised in West London, for a second time for unlawfully describing himself as an osteopath after leaving the GOsC’s Register of osteopaths. Mr Milner appeared at City of London Magistrates’ Court on 22 May 2025, and was found guilty of using the osteopathic title while not registered with the GOsC.

England · EnglandThe Department for Education (DfE) has increased Social Work England’s budget by 25%, providing an additional £5.2m for 2025-26 to help tackle fitness to practise backlogs. This funding raises the regulator’s revenue budget to £26.7m, up from £21.5m in 2024-25, with the increase coming entirely from the DfE.
