Valentine · ValentineNenzel, April 21, 2024 — The Bessey Ranger District successfully conducted a 2,650-acre prescribed burn on Sunday, April 21 at the Samuel R. McKelvie National Forest near Nenzel. During burning operations, two areas burned outside control lines that totaled approximately 20 acres. Though the burn was outside of control lines, all fire was kept on Forest Service lands and within the area future prescribed burning was planned.See the Story
