The Yucatan state authorities activated a health alert after detecting the presence of Marea Roja in various coastal areas of the Yucateco coast specifically in the municipalities of Progreso, Chuburná and Sisal. As an immediate measure, a preventive ban has been imposed in these localities, as well as in a radius of 40 kilometers offshore, where all fishing activity is also suspended until further notice.
