Error-Free Instagram Comments Are Here: Here's How to Edit Yours

Instagram introduced a Comment Editing Feature on Thursday, allowing users to make changes within 15 minutes of posting, addressing long-standing requests to fix typos without deleting comments.
The platform's new capability mirrors the editing functionality for Messages added in 2024, following years of user feedback and aligning Instagram with other apps supporting post-publication text revisions.
Users can make unlimited edits during the 15-minute window, after which comments are locked; an Edited label appears on posts, though Meta does not allow others to view the original content.
Rolling out worldwide in version 424.1, the update enables users to refine text on posts and Reels, though the feature is limited to text-only edits and unavailable on the web.
Meta continues testing various features, including a paid Instagram Plus subscription in Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines, marking the latest in a series of platform improvements introduced recently.
