Yankees’ Trystan Vrieling, with help from Mozart, Star Wars and protein, is a red hot pitching prospect

Summary by Nj
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — When the Yankees first drafted pitcher Trystan Vrieling out of a basketball school two summers ago in the third round, he was tall and skinny at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds. The right-hander who is fast becoming the ace of the Double-A Somerset Patriots looked like he should be playing shooting guard for Gonzaga, and for a time that was the dream for a kid who was born in Idaho and moved to Washington state as a five-year-old.
