Wyoming 41, UNLV 35
Samuel Harris rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns as Wyoming stopped a late UNLV comeback with a goal-line interception.
On Saturday night, Wyoming defeated UNLV 41-35 at Allegiant Stadium, with running back Samuel Harris rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cowboys to victory.
Markell Holman's 49-yard run and Harris's rushing performance built a commanding 41-21 lead by the third quarter, giving Wyoming a substantial cushion over the Rebels' offense.
Narrowing the deficit to six points, the Rebels rallied late with consecutive touchdown drives, but Tyson Shamsid-Deen intercepted backup quarterback Alex Orji in the end zone with 1:51 remaining, ending UNLV's comeback.
The loss dropped UNLV to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the Mountain West, eliminating the Rebels' control over their conference title destiny with games remaining.
Wyoming travels to UTEP next Saturday, November 14, while UNLV heads to New Mexico on the same date to face the Lobos in their respective conference matchups.
