'Strength in numbers': State unions merge to form Education West Virginia
West Virginia’s two largest teacher unions — the American Federation of Teachers–WV and the West Virginia Education Association — have merged to form Education West Virginia. Leaders say the historic move will create a stronger, unified voice to advocate for educators’ pay, benefits, PEIA reform, and improved student support statewide.
