WV Supreme Court hears libraries, parks petition appeal

Summary by Ground News
The West Virginia Supreme Court heard an appeal on Wednesday. The appeal stems from the Cabell County Board of Education’s unanimous vote in August 2023 to approve a new budget. The excess levy that includes that budget will go on the ballot in May. Along with the cuts to the parks and libraries, funding cuts for outdoor learning spaces, facility maintenance and reducing employee salaries were also in the budget.
