An agricultural apprentice from Chambéry, Savoie, was wrongly accused by Internet users of being the perpetrator of acts of torture on kittens. He and his family, who gave an interview to the Dauphiné Libéré, were the target of death threats. The perpetrator was arrested.

Yet a Savoyard is wrongly accused of being responsible for this massacre.
