The multilateral development banks (MDBs) have committed or are considering a total of USD 10.04 billion in 92 petrochemical projects worldwide, of which 22% are destined for sub-Saharan Africa, according to a census published on Tuesday 18 August by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) and the International Accountability Project (IAP).
