DETROIT — Stellantis is pausing production at two assembly plants in Canada and Mexico as the company attempts to navigate President Donald Trump’s new round of 25% automotive tariffs, the company confirmed Thursday.
Due to the start of the application of new high tariffs in the USA, the multinational consortium of car manufacturers Stelantis will close one of its three factories in Canada, the flagship of its Chrysler brand in Windsor, for two weeks from April 7.
