- Windows now separates power actions from update actions, letting users shut down or restart without installing pending updates. Microsoft will coordinate driver and firmware updates to align with monthly quality updates, reducing restarts.
- The features are currently available to Windows Insiders in the Dev and Experimental channels, though Microsoft noted weekly updates continue for users in Experimental and Beta channels.
- In the coming months, Microsoft will introduce ways to move the currently locked taskbar in Windows and reduce "unnecessary Copilot entry points" to improve user control.
