The gates at Wilson Nature Park are open for the first time, as of Aug. 12. The park, located at the end of Mariner Way in Parksville, was made possible by a $6-million donation from The Wilson 5 Foundation and additional funding from the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Fund, according to the Nature Trust of BC.
