Wife of man who died after 'severe turbulence' on flight from Heathrow sues airline

- On Saturday, Linda Kitchen, 74, initiated High Court proceedings against Singapore Airlines, seeking damages after her husband, Geoff Kitchen, 73, died during severe turbulence on Flight SQ321 in May 2024.
- Specialist aviation lawyer Anthe Korelidou, representing the family, noted Geoff was "fatally injured" during the flight. Papers submitted to the British High Court include separate legal claims for Linda and Geoff's estate.
- British court records show several other passengers, including Bradley Richards and Jack Jenkins, have also launched legal action against SIA. Responding to inquiries on Saturday, the airline stated it cannot comment on active court matters.
- Following the incident, SIA pledged a "more cautious approach to managing turbulence in-flight." The Transport Safety Investigation Bureau noted weather radar issues remain inconclusive, though the airline previously apologized for the "traumatic experience" onboard.
