In late November and early December, there were incidents in the Black Sea with merchant ships, two of which belonged to Russia's so-called shadow tanker fleet. First the Kairos tanker was hit, then the Virat tanker. Both went unloaded. Ukraine admitted its involvement in the destruction of the vessels. Then the Russian tanker Midvolga-2 was damaged.
