Joy Behar Misses The View After Backstage Injury
Sunny Hostin filled in as moderator after Behar dislocated her shoulder backstage, and her representative said she is expected back mid next week.
On Thursday, Joy Behar missed The View after dislocating her shoulder backstage, prompting co-host Sunny Hostin to step in as moderator for the morning talk program.
A representative for the 83-year-old co-host stated Behar "caught a heel backstage" but is on the mend, with her shoulder not broken and "back in place."
With co-host Whoopi Goldberg also absent while filming a movie, Hostin assumed the moderator seat, noting she was selected because she is the "next oldest" host.
Regular co-hosts Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin appeared as scheduled, joined by guest co-host Sherri Shepherd for the episode.
Behar, who joined The View during its 1997 debut, is the longest-running host in the show's history and previously took a two-year hiatus starting in 2013.
