WesternU College of Podiatric Medicine achieves 100% residency placement for 13 consecutive years
WesternU's College of Podiatric Medicine secured residency placements at leading medical centers nationwide for all graduates, marking 13 years of uninterrupted 100% match success.
On Friday, March 20, 2026, Western University of Health Sciences' College of Podiatric Medicine held its annual Match Day at Mountain Meadows Golf Course in Pomona, Calif., celebrating a 100% residency placement rate.
For the 13th consecutive year, CPM achieved this milestone during the national Match Day event, where podiatric medical students simultaneously learn their residency placements through the Central Application Service for Podiatric Residencies.
CPM student Kirakos Tomas expressed gratitude for the outcome, saying, "I am grateful for all the support I have had from my family, my wife, the school, the faculty." Classmate Suzie Davtyan will head east for training.
Graduates matched at prestigious medical centers including Boston University Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, and Kaiser Permanente Northern California-Santa Clara, representing top residency programs nationwide.
The Class of 2026's success reflects rigorous faculty preparation and peer support throughout their medical training. "Their hard work is evident as they are headed to some of the top residency programs in the nation," a university official stated.
