A man was saved by Belleville firefighters after his vessel overturned in the Moira River Sunday afternoon.

An 83-year-old male was taken to hospital Sunday afternoon after a watercraft overturned on the Moira River. Belleville firefighters responded to the area of the 600 block of Scuttlehole Road around 2:30 p.m.  A group of paddle sports enthusiasts were coming down the Moira River to Latta when one of their craft overturned causing two people to go into the water. At 2:33 pm Sunday afternoon, Belleville firefighters responded to the report of an overturned water craft on the Moira river near the 600 block of Scuttlehole Road.   A group of paddle sports enthusiasts were coming down the Moira River to Latta when one of their craft overturned causing two people to go into the water.
