Canada's Eurovision Finalists to Be Announced Today by CBC
A jury chose the five finalists, and Canadians will vote online to decide who will represent the country in the 2027 contest.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, CBC/Radio-Canada will reveal five finalists vying to represent Canada at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, with the announcement scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
A professional jury selected the shortlist from nationwide submissions, and the public will now choose Canada's Eurovision entrant through an online vote, determining who competes in Bulgaria next May.
Broadcasting at 3 p.m. ET, the event titled 'Eurovision Song Contest 2027: Canada's Choice' will air on CBC Gem and YouTube, while several finalists appear at Toronto studios.
Winners will collaborate with industry professionals to develop Canada's performance for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, held at Arena Burgas in Bulgaria next May.
Eurovision has launched international careers for stars like Celine Dion and ABBA, though the contest faces controversy, including Russia's ban following the invasion of Ukraine and broadcaster boycotts.
