Washington walnuts recalled as 7 hospitalized from E. coli

Organic walnuts are being recalled across several states after 12 people have been infected with E. coli. Seven people have been hospitalized and two people have developed hemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious kidney disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the outbreaks have been found in two states — Washington and California.
