Walnut Creek City Council Appoints New Mayor

Former Walnut Creek Mayor Cindy Darling passed the gavel to new Mayor Kevin Wilk at the Tuesday, December 2 City Council meeting. The City Council unanimously approved Wilk’s appointment; he will serve as Mayor through early December 2026. Councilmember Matt Francois will serve as the Mayor Pro Tem (fancy name for Vice Mayor).
