This is not a surprise, but the young navigator Violette Dorange, the favourite of the general public at the last Vendée Globe, takes the helm of the Imoca Initiatives Coeur, of which she had been co-skipper for a year with Sam Davies, in view of the Route du Rhum and the tour du monde 2028.
The 24-year-old sailor, fond of the audience of the last Vendée Globe, will play solo on the Route du Rhum in November. The 51-year-old British will be her coach and technical advisor for the entire 2026 season.
