A STRONG storm with rain and thunderstorms has hit central Dalmatia. Heavy downpours and flooded roads were recorded in the Šibenik area. The system is moving towards Split.
The announced weather change has arrived in Dalmatia. On Thursday evening, a strong thunderstorm hit parts of central Dalmatia, and rain accompanied by thunder began to fall in the Split area as well.
The western and southern parts of Croatia are expected to experience variable and unstable weather. Although most areas will have sunny spells, rain and locally more pronounced showers with thunder will mark most of the day, while the afternoon will bring a noticeable change in wind direction. A severe storm hit parts of central Dalmatia tonight, with rain and thunderstorms also falling in the Split area. The precipitation has already caused problems on roads and infrastructure.
Drivers are advised to use extra caution due to wet and partially flooded roads.
