Police officers from Foral, Municipal Police and National Police have cordoned off the area of Merindades Square in Pamplona this Saturday morning for the appearance of a suspicious suitcase. Carlos III Avenue has also been closed at Leyre Street.
The TEDAX unit of the National Police has detonated, without major repercussions on its contents, a briefcase that had been forgotten at a bus stop in the vicinity of the Delegation of the Government of Navarre, whose detection has activated a protocol by which the area has been evicted.
On Saturday morning, the Foral Police activated the anti-terrorist protocol, known as Circular 50, for the appearance of a suspicious briefcase in the Plaza de las Merindades in Pamplona. Several streets have been cut off from the traffic of vehicles and people.
