Vermont Sen. Peter Welch working to bring JetBlue back to Burlington

Summary by Ground News
A shortage of air traffic controllers has impacted operations in the New York area, leading JetBlue to halt its service from Burlington at the beginning of this year. Vermont Sen. Peter Welch said he is pushing hard for a measure that could help the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport secure the return of JetBlue Airways. Welch told NBC5 that a pending Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization act would help address the staffing level shortage, which in turn could eventually help restore lost routes.
