Just after announcing another 1 million square foot fulfillment center off Interstate 65 in Crown Point, the ecommerce giant Amazon continues to grow its footprint in Indiana.

Venture One Real Estate breaks ground on 1.2-million-square-foot distribution facility in Crown Point

Venture One Real Estate broke ground on a 1,202,800-square-foot build-to-suit distribution facility for Amazon at VenturePark 65 in Crown Point, Indiana.  The new facility will support Amazon’s distribution network across the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana markets and is expected to create approximately 500 jobs. It is Venture One’s second development in Indiana, further extending the firm’s Chicago-area industrial platform across the state line.  “This project represents a vote of confidence in the business-friendly environment the City of Crown Point has cultivated,” said Ryan Stoller, Managing Partner at Venture One. “We thank the mayor and his team for their support in making this project a reality.”  The project team includes Venture One as developer, Premier Design + Build Group as general contractor, Ware Malcomb as architect, and Jacob & Hefner as civil engineer. Ryan O’Leary of KBC Advisors assisted Amazon in its site selection and Brian Vanosky and Michael O’Leary at Lee & Associates represented Venture One.
