The fee is due for visits between April 3rd and July 26th. Day tourists will charge entry to the city five euros if they book at least four days in advance.
Since last year, the lagoon city has been demanding money on certain dates from short visitors: in 2026, it is ten euros - 60 days now.
Venice began collecting the fee in 2024. The city hall claims that this is being done on a trial basis.
