Not a day without a new start of fire. On Tuesday 21 July 2026, a fire in the area of Montauban, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, led to the interruption of SNCF traffic on the line that joins Toulouse.
Train traffic has been interrupted, in both directions, since 1 p.m. on Wednesday 22 July, between Dijon and Beaune, due to several fires in the vicinity of the tracks, triggered by the passage of a freight train.
Several trains are currently stopped following a fire near Nuits-Saint-Georges. The fire is believed to have started in a diesel locomotive.
