Vassar Brothers workers file grievances as understaffing worsens, vaccination clash looms

The union representing employees at Vassar Brothers Medical Center says it has filed numerous class action grievances, and is in the process of filing others. The calls for increased staffing come weeks after a group of nurses came forward to the Journal, claiming the hospital’s mishandling of the second surge of COVID-19 in Dutchess County in the winter left lasting negative impacts on the mental health and size of the staff.
