At the beginning of the pandemic, a man posted a picture reminiscent of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz, and the text: "vaccination frees." There followed a sentence for incitement of the people. The revision, however, was now rejected.
The Federal Court of Justice has confirmed the sentence for incitement of the people: Because a 65-year-old published an Auschwitz image with the sentence "Impfen macht frei" above the entrance gate on Facebook, he was sentenced to a fine of a total of 4,000 euros. The image of the Auschwitz entrance gate with a modified lettering published on Facebook is a criminal incitement of the people. The Federal Court thus confirms a decision of the Regional Court of Cologne.
